Yaprak sarma recipe



WHAT IS "YAPRAK SARMA"?

Yaprak sarma is a Turkish food. Traditionally, the grapes leaves have been undertaken. Also made cabbage, Rumex, chard, mulberry leaves and cherry leaves.

MATERIALS

Grape leaves (brine)
Rice or kasha/bulgur
Tomato paste (or red pepper paste. Turkish, two of the "salça" is called.)
Salt, blackpepper, mint and intended spices
If desired, ground beef or ground lamb

MAKE

Rice, salça, salt, spices (and ground beef) roasted with olive oil. After add of some water is "pilav" (Turkish: Rice food) Later subject to the leaves and "iç" (Turkish: "in". And "in the pilav") wrapped. Cooked with water superior to late. Sarma's should be tight.

NEXT

Traditionally eating is next yogurt or lemon. But tomato paste or ayran.

HOT OR COLD?

Either way may be consumed.
